Anja Möller, Germany
Retrievers have been my passion since the early nineties. From the beginning I was fascinated by their abilities in the field, and from there it was only a small step into the world of Retriever competitions. In 1996 I imported a puppy bitch from the UK which laid the foundation of my Labrador kennel, Gunsight’s. Since then, I have successfully competed in tests and trials throughout Europe and Great Britain. I have made up three International FCI Field Trial Champions and one Italian Field Trial Champion. Other highlights were: Top Individual Dog Skinners World Cup 2003, Top Dog Coupe d’ Europe 2007, Runner up Italian Retriever Championship 2018. Over the years, I have represented Germany at various FT championships as well as at the IWT and the Skinners World Cup, including winning the latter in 2008.
Today I have three Labradors at Gunsight’s, all going back to my foundation bitch: Int. FTCh. Gunsight’s Gorse Hatch, Gunsight’s Hale, who took her first steps in Open Field Trials, and my youngster Gunsight’s Imber Goose.
Since 2002, I have been a working test judge and, in 2008, I became an international FCI field trial judge. I have had the honor of judging trials and field tests throughout Europe and Great Britain, including the Coupe d’ Europe, the ICC, and the IWT. From 2014, I have represented Germany in the FCI Retriever Commission. In 2018, I successfully passed the English Kennel Club’s judges exam for the J-Regs.
I was a member of the Labrador Breeding Commission of the German Retriever Club (DRC) for 21 years and have always been committed to the Labrador as a gundog. Since 2009, I have written several publications about the Labrador and the training of retrievers—in book form and as online versions.
Thank you very much for the invitation – It is a great honor for me to judge the 2025 Nordic Retriever Championship. I wish the organisers a successful event, the participants the very best of luck, and above all, that true sportsmanship shines through!

I got my first labrador retriever in 1995. Since then, labradors, hunting, and trialing in the working tests, cold game tests and field trials have been an important and significant part of my life. Four of the labradors I’ve trained have become Finnish Field Trial Champions (FI KVA-B). I have once won the Finnish Championship (Nome-B) and also the Labrador Championship. I’ve also had the honor of representing Finland in the Nordic Championship, the IWT, and the Skinners World Cup.
I have been breeding labrador retrievers since 2000, first under the kennel name Eagle Owl’s, and currently under Reedrunner’s.
I am a Working Test and International Field Trial judge. I have been the chairman of the Finnish retriever committee last four years. And additionally, I have represented the Finnish Kennel Club in the FCI Retriever Commission for a long time. Actually this autumn I decided to let go of these duties.
I’ve judged Field trials and Working Tests in several European countries. It’s always a pleasure to meet retriever people, see the different ways to organize trials, and of course, follow nice retriever work.
This is second time when I’m judging Nordic Retriever Championship. I’m honored to be invited to judge again. I’m sure that it’s going to be interesting event and we will see excellent dog work during the days. I wish all the competitors best of luck! And let’s have a super weekend together!

I started trialling retrievers in 1999 but my love of dogs started as a child . My first gundog was a rescue GSD which I trained to be my gundog. I have been lucky enough represent Scotland with my Labrador many times . I have produced over 20 Labradors to open standard , many of which have gone on to be champions . I enjoy the day to day challenge training, sometimes complicated dogs and producing them to a field trial standard. I am an A panel judge in both Retrievers and Spaniels . I also enjoy training and competing with my spaniels. It is a huge honour to be invited to judge internationally and wish all the competitors the best of luck.

Although I grew up with Gundogs all my life I got my first Gundog in in 1996 A Golden Retriever which I bought to do some wildfowling with.
I then Purchased my first Labrador in 2004 which I then got into trialing with winning my first trial in 2006 with whom I then went on to qualify for the British Championship on two occasions – making her up to Ftch. I have since had several Field Trial Winners and Field Trial Award Winners. I have also ran in the Scottish Retriever Gundog Team at The CLA Gaim Fair, Skinners & the IWT winning team 2025. I also ran in the GB Retriever Team at Chatsworth House.
I have been a retriever judge since 2007, and I have been an A panel judge since 2017. I have judged open/novice trials in Scotland, England, Ireland and in Europe. I have also judged the Chatsworth international Retriever Event as well as The Cla Game Fair and the Scottish Game Fair International Events.
It is a great honour to be asked to Judge the Nordic Championship and wish all the competitors all the very best of luck.
